How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The cash transfers transformed my life alot in that they enabled the payment of my grand child's tuition fees. I am happy because she is now in her final year. Before I received the cash transfer, I used to sell my cattle to finance her course. This was worrisome as I did not have any other income generating activity. I am very grateful that GiveDirectly sent me these cash transfers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well to empower people with the cash transfers. My only wish is that if GiveDirectly could come again and give us more cash transfers. Personally, I am happy because GiveDirectly did their best to help my community.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent a large portion of my second cash transfer to pay my grand child's tuition fees and purchase three goats.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My daily life is different because I'm happy that I have managed to clear tuition fees and dig a pit latrine. Previously, I used to wonder where I will get tuition for my daughter and my latrine was soon getting filled up. I'm happy that I have managed to clear tuition fees and dig a pit latrine.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment money was sent, It got me in a morning prayer and when I checked the message it was my transfer. I became so happy because money is key to everything. I prayed to God to keep blessing and protecting GiveDirectly and her staff for it's not easy to send unconditional cash to recipients.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have a daughter in the university pursuing a bachelors degree in Banking and Finance, When I received this money I paid her tuition to a tune of Ugx 1500000. I spent ugx 150000 for digging a standard pit Latrine since the one I currently use is getting filled up. I spent Ugx 40000 for farm clearing because rains are almost returning and farming will commence. I used ugx 10000 for feeding.
