When I received my cash transfer I was so excited and thankful. I used to sleep on the floor but soon after I received my cash transfer I managed to buy a bed and a mattress and am very thankful as now am able to sleep comfortably and waking up in the morning without dust.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that I used to be a house wife waiting for my husband to provide everything on the table but now with my cash transfer I managed to start a business of selling groundnuts and am able to provide for my family as well and am very thankful for GD transfers.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After I received my cash transfer I managed to buy window flames which costed me 90 thousand kwacha, I bought 4 bags of cement at K8000 each, a bed at 25 thousand kwacha and 2 mattress at 45 thousand kwacha. The house I used to live in was not in a good condition, it had no window flames but now with my cash transfer managed to fix it and am very thankful for GD transfers.
