How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed because I used to sleep In a dilapidated house and I believe very soon I will be sleeping in a good house courtesy of Give Directly. I used to struggle a lot looking grass for thatching my house but this is coming to an end.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has done so well to help each and everyone without selecting who benefits and who shouldn't benefit from Give Directly. Everyone in the community is happy for assistance because Give Directly did not isolate community members during enrollment. Therefore it acted like a uniting factor to people in my village because I did not witness people blaming one another like why didn't I benefit and you did.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I it used for building a house since I had spent the first transfer for purchasing materials like Iron sheets, Timber, Sand and making Bricks. When I received the second transfer I started construction work and paid labor as well. Right now as we speak I'm only left with installing the windows, doors, plastering and flooring the House. I thank Give Directly for far it has brought me because the unfinished part of the house I will also struggle to complete.
