How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, GiveDirectly's cash transfers have helped me boost my business. I was able to restock items that were finished in my shop and business is now booming since I have everything I needed in my shop. I have also managed to hire farm land which I'm now Farming on. These transfers also helped me clear my school fees debt enabling me pick my senior six certificate. Lastly, I was able to acquire a cow which I was unable to buy before receiving cash from GiveDirectly. Prior to receiving these money, the school I studied from withheld my certificate because I did not clear all my fees. My business had collapsed because I lacked money for restocking but thanks to GiveDirectly for the financial support.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done so well because I have seen great improvement in families in terms of high standards of living. For example people have built houses, bought livestock, marriage, paid fees and sought medical attention. GiveDirectly's transfers have boosted my business, helped me hire farm land, my dressing has improved because of the transfers and above all I managed to buy a cow which I never owned previously. In my opinion, GiveDirectly's operations were okay for me and everything went on well on my side.

I spent my transfer on boosting my business. I restocked for the shop to the tune of ugx 937000. I bought a cow at ugx 400000, household items like clothes and mattress ugx 185000 and bought a bag of maize flour at ugx110000.
