How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now better in that, I'm a stress free person because I paid my children's school fees. In the past, I used to sell the little food I had in order to raise income for their fees. However, there are seasons when the climatic changes would affect crop yields thus leading to famine and some of the children staying back home for lack of money to pay their tuition.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
According to me, GiveDirectly has done well by giving us unconditional cash transfers that have alleviated poverty from the community. Personally, these transfers have helped me to educate all my children. On the other hand, everything has been done well so far GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent UGX 600000 my second transfer to pay my children's school fees. I'm planning to spend the balance to pay next term's tuition.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Happiness is the greatest change in my life because I will be able to pay school fees for my children. I have three children in secondary education and three in primary section attending private schools and I was so burdened by school fees. My son whom I was unable to pay fees for last year will also resume this year.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Ahhh!!!!!.. When I saw the message of cash transfer from Give Directly, I and my family members were very happy. What caused my happiness in my heart is, Ever since I was born and grew to this age of mine I have never witnessed any Organization or Government body that sends money to people the way GD does. It was unbelievable but when I saw the message it was a reality that when GD promises you something it comes to pass.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought construction materials like cement, sand and dram at ugx 290000, I also bought household items at Ugx 340000 and we spent ugx 70000 on feeding. I have also spared ugx 1000000 for paying school fees of my children.
