Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My goal is to save enough money and start a mpesa business. This will help boost my income and also help grow the economy of my village.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life ever since I received my transfers is that I have been able to purchase a cow for the purpose of rearing, I also bought building materials to erect a shelter for my poultry. Currently, I get milk from my cow and my poultry project has improved and has really grown.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months God willing I will have started an mpesa business and my poultry will be doing well. This is because I am eagerly working hard to ensure that all my projects prosper.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The greatest difference in my life is the money which I am now earning due to sale of eggs. This has enable me to meet my basic needs with ease. Now am able to buy food and also save little amount for future use.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect my life would have changed as now I can get around 20 to 30 eggs which translate to KES 450 per day. I am planning to save the little which I get from sale of eggs and what my husband gets so that we can buy a piece of land where we shall build our new home.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently I no longer obtain goods on credit like before when I would only expect my husband to sent me some money by the end of the month. I now get money through the sale of eggs and I now have enough money to spend on food and save little.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to save cash which my husband gets so that we can spend to buy a piece of land as the one we are living in right now is quite small.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
In 2015, my husband and I had started a car wash business but we ended up running at a loss. We spent a lot of money in purchasing equipments through a bank loan. We tried our best but unfortunately it didn't make. For me that was the biggest hardship I've ever faced.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Evening is the happiest part of my day because it is at this time that I feel relieved from day's activities. I'm alone and most of the house chores are completed by this time. Again it feels good in the evening to have successfully achieve the day's objectives.

I am planning to spend my transfer on improvement of poultry farming and diary farming. Currently I have 30 poultry and with GD cash, it will be a great boost since I was planning to add 50 more before the year ends.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Starting up a Mpesa business ( Safaricom cash transfer) is the biggest achievement am proudest of in my life. I was able to save enough money that enabled me to purchase a piece of land.
