How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to build my house because the house I am living in right now belongs to one of my friends, after building my house, my next goal is to establish a business that will keep helping me to support my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by taking their time to explain the program to us properly, they are also kind and patient during the time of interview with us, their processes are also fair to me. I don't have anything against GiveDirectly because I haven't seen them doing anything wrong.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my third transfer to buy building materials for my house project, I also bought food for my family, I used some to pay my children school fees and I saved some for future purpose.

I have new goal and the new goal is to start a business in order to help my family and myself get our basic needs.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Give directly is doing everything well because, I haven't received such amount of money all my life and it was given to me with no condition attached. I had plans to build a house for myself and pay my kids school fees but I couldn't afford the finances for that so all thanks to give directly for helping me to solve my problems.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am bless to receive money from Givedirectly, I intend to put my children back to school. Two of the oldest children were in school in Banjul, but were forced to return to Wolakai Town because of lack of money since 2019. My only dream is to see that they're back in school. So, if Givedirectly give me money, I will use it to get them back in school and if anything remain, I will try to build my own house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The things that made me happy in the last six months is when me and my children tried cutting round poles to be sent to Monrovia for sale. While cutting the sticks, my stomach pain increase again and that I have to stop and then my spouse came and helped completed the work. The sticks were sent to Monrovia and sold. The money was used to pay my hospital bills. That's what makes me happy in the last six months.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge I face now is a severe stomach pain I've been experiencing since I had my last son. I nearly under went an operation, but through the grace of God, I had a safe delivery. But since that time, I have been experiencing a severe stomach pain that makes it difficult that I go and hustle for my children.
