How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before I received this money I only ad plans to work on my house but now I want to work on the farms as well. Since this year there is hunger I plan on increasing my farm yields this year.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly did really well by giving us a head start, this is an opportunity that we couldn't have gotten any where and we are very grateful. While working with give directly I did not find any fault, everything went well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my tranfers to improve my house. I have a huge family and planned to building several structures for my family. I bought a total of 74 iron sheets and now I am in the process of getting the bricks so I can start to build my house. I also used some of the money to buy food because this year there is hunger.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am very excited to receive this money. I will use this money to make bricks and build a house. I will use the money to build a house because I want my grandchildren to have a place to stay. Since I live in a temporary shack I believe it will be a good idea for me to build a house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest when my grandchildren are healthy and when they have enough food. I am very happy now that with the money that I received I will use some of it to buy food so that my family can also be happy
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face is that I do not have enough food. I have nine grandchildren that I have to take care of. I believe that it is my responsibility to take care of my grandchildren but I do not earn enough money to buy them food.
