How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My health has now improved and I am stress free.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
It has given us the chance to plan for our future by giving us unconditional free money. So far there is nothing wrong done by GiveDirectly.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I was able to touch more than a million shillings which I had never touched before. Am also yet to to graduate from sleeping in a house made of wattle and mud.

I was so happy and filled with alot of joy
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have not yet spent my transfer but am planning use it to build a house. I will buy cement, bricks, sand and iron sheets and also pay for labour

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means building a better house with bricks and cement with a solar panel. My current mud house is dusty with termites which destroy my clothes and other households.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest parts of my day are in the afternoon and evening when I am having my meals from my two daughters in-law, served at noon and in the evening.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is becoming blind. This has hindered me from doing any productive activity for myself.
