Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received the transfer i felt like screaming on top of my voice,i remember i couldn't stop smiling and i kept own thinking on how best can i use the money and honestly I'm still excited upto now.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
All along i have been sleeping on a matt because i couldn't get my self to raise K70,000 for matress so with GD coming in it has made this easier for me i know sleep on an 8 inch matress and i own a proper blanket and in due time i will be living in an ironsheet roof house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I'm so grateful for getting enrolled in this awesome programme, all along i have been struggling with a good sleeping place,i have been sleeping on a matt for almost 20 years so when i received my first transfer the first thing i did was buying 8 inch matress which costed me K66,000,I then bought a blanket for K20,000,secondly i have been wishing to own a house with ironsheet roof so i thought it wise to buy ironsheet, i bought 24 of them and costed me K114,000 and i spent K10,000 for transport and basic needs such as food, groceries and clothes

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This means a lot to me. I have a small house and I intend to build a bigger house when I receive my transfer. I will also buy iron sheets so that the house should half a nice roof. Our clothes are worn out and we will use part of the money to buy new clothes. I will also buy some bags of maize and fertilizer.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy when I have enough food or when my husband sends me money.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Our farming land is very small. We struggle to produce enough food for the household.
