How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Recently, 2 of my children were sent home from school because I did not have enough money to pay their balance tuition. I have also began my building project but could not continue due to limited finances. Nonetheless, when I received my recent transfer, I was able to fully settle my children balance tuition for this academic year. Additionally, I also purchased 1 bundle zinc to complete my house project. I am thankful to GiveDirectly for transforming my life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
From my own point of view, GiveDirectly treats everyone equally and fairly. Every aspect of this program is so unique and incomparable to other NGOs I have known over the years. I see nothing that GD has done wrong thus far.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My biggest priority at the moment is to see my children attend school regularly. I had also been working very hard to earn enough money to complete my house project. Therefore, when I received my transfer, I used a huge portion ($25,300LD) to pay my children tuition. Portion of my transfer was also used to purchase 1 bundle of zinc for the completion of my new house.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am currently building a 3 bed room apartment that will be completed soon. With this transfer just received, I am going to invest bulk of my money into agriculture by making a big rice and plantain farm. The other portion of my transfer will be used to buy building materials to complete my house. GD transfer has given me hope for the future. I am so satisfied with this project.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has been doing quite well with the entire program from enrolment stage up to the time I started receiving transfer and beyond. Every aspect of this program initiated by GD is so unique and immeasurable to other NGOs I have known over the years. I see nothing that GiveDirectly is not doing well thus far.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My primary objective right now is to complete my house project and also invest in agriculture. Hence, when I received my transfer from GiveDirectly, I will buy 3 bundles of 14 gauge zinc for $27, 300LD. I will also pay workers to rip wood for the roof of my house. Lastly I will use my balance transfer to secure a huge parcel of land for my rice and plaintain farm.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was one afternoon while sitting at home I heard one of my neighbors shouting with joy that he has received his transfer from GiveDirectly. After getting the information I went to the place we usually stand to get lonestar cell network connection to check my mobile money balance. It was like heaven has come down to me when I saw the amount of forty thousand three hundred seventy five in my mobile money account sent by GiveDirectly. From the network spot back to my house I was joyfully walking and tell everyone I met on my way back to my house that I have received my transfer from GiveDirectly. I am extending my thanks and appreciations to all the people who are helping me with this money to improve my household life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started recieving payments from GiveDirectly is that, I now have money that will enable me to build a toilet house and plaster the rooms in my house. Upon the completion of the toilet house, my household will need not to use the bush for toileting purpose again. I was so excited that I was enrolled into the program and maximum use is what I am going to make of it. I thank God that my hope of building a toilet house has become a reality through GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I want to build an outdoor toilet room and plaster the rooms in my house and even put floor in the entire house. With this plan in mind, I bought cement with my most recent transfer that I received from GiveDirectly. I and my household have been using the bush as a place to toilet. I am so happy that I received this money. I am going to use this money to improve the livelihood of my household.
