Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was doing house chores when I heard the phone beeping, I called my neighbor's daughter that can read and write and she informed me that GD sent the money they promised. I took the phone back and started jumping and prasing God for all that had happened. My kids joined me in jubilation. I called my husband to inform him about what was unfolding. My entire family was happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I was married in a polygamous home and I'm staying in the house of my first wife. Though they are not mistreating me, but I'm not too comfortable staying with my six(5) children in the same room. It has been my dream to own my own house; and with the help of GD, I was able to buy few materials to build on the land my big daughter from Monrovia bought for me. All these new good things that are happening in my life is because of Givedirectly and it makes me happy everyday.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two(2) bundles of zinc, two(2)packs of nails, and three(3) bags of cement for the construction of a new house. I used some of my money to buy uniform for my last son. I will use the rest of my transfer to saw my planks for my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
What I plan to do with my cash transfer is, to build my own house within this town, reason being, this house is my Mate, Bessy Davis'; she is due to come back from Monrovia, as such, it'll be an embarrassment living in this house, so it had been our plan to erect a house for I and my children; we've tried raising money for this project but what we earn from our daily hustles isn't much to start up, holding to the fact that we have to eat every day.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought me joy in the last six months is, three months ago an NGO came in our town and distributed bags of rice and tins of oil among us, when I got my portion it brought me so much excitement, other entities had been coming and taking down names but they had been no direct benefits, so when that happened I was overwhelmed with joy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Those challenges I'm faced with are, the issue of raising cash for my house project, all through we've been surviving by our rice farm, which hasn't been earning much, just this year we've planted our cocoa, one and the half acre, but it'll take time to grow and reap; another challenge is the issue of my eyes, I don't see clearly, because of this, I most often abstain from brushing the farm and doing other farming activities, and this had been slowing down our speedy earnings.
