Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The message informing me that i had recieved my transfer came in around midnight. In this moment i felt very happy and i could not wait for morning to come so that i go to my nearest agent.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
It has changed for the better becsuse now my life is on track. I did not know what my life was going to be like after the Cyclon but now i have food and i just started the foundation of my house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With my transfer, I paid MK8500 fees for my child who is in secondary school because i usually struggle with his fees so i took this as a chance to pay for it in advance. With the floods, my maize in the feild was washed off and as such i had no food. I went and bought 7 bags of maize at MK11500 each. This will cater for my family for the next 5 months. I was remaining with MK20000 which i paid builders to make mud bricks for me so that i can start rebuilding my house which completely fell down.
