What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for purchasing 18 pieces of iron sheets, timber, nails, binding wire, 2 tins of paint, 20 pieces of ventilators at 1,068,000 ugx, brickes and a trip of sand at 300,000ugx, transporting materials at 107,000 ugx, my wife's clothes at 100,000 ugx, two plastic chairs at 48,000ugx and 5,000 ugx was taken by a mobile money agent
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Give Directly has done well to give me my directly. And Give Directly has not done anything bad.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I have I have got a paece of mind because am relieved from the burden of look for thatch yearly, since am soon sleeping in an iron roofed house, constructing an iron roofed house in a short period of time is something that I couldn't have achieved had I not recieved this transfer.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought three cows worth 1,000,000 ugx and I gave my spouse 300,000 ugx to buy some household items. I spent 40,000 ugx on buying school requirements and the balance of the cash transfer we are spending it on feeding the family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was so happy that I had received money that was going to uplift my family and cater for other necessities.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have witnessed a very big difference in my daily life in that I am nolonger worried because I can afford food for my family and other needs. I am very happy compared to the past when I was hard up. My life was too miserable but I am thankful to Givedirectly for saving me.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i face in my family is need for oxen for ploughing. The lack of oxen is main cause of little or no food busket for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest moment is during afternoon after garden work. This time iam at kolir centre with friends relaxing.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
The most exciting thing i plan to do with the transfers is to buy cows and bulls. These cows will produce and provide milk to my family.
