How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am Momo G. kiazolu from Gabigbon town, Bomi county Liberia. I planned to renovate my house, and payment of my children balance tuition before receiving my third cash transfer from Givedirectly.
My first and second cash transfer was spent on registration and apartment of my children school fees. I also bought two bundles of zinc and mood hundred pieces of bricks.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly staffs aways focus on during their Job effectively upon entering the village and they don't accept gift from anyone. I have not heard of anything that Givedirectly didn't do well in this village. I am so proud of Givedirectly and want to extend thanks and appreciation to those that have contributed in helping the needed.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Upon cashing out my transfer, I bought ten bags of cement for renovation of my house, room furnitures and did payment of my children tuition.

In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly did well for me, by sending me this transfer. In the past months, I could not afford money to send my children to school and nothing to survive on. But after receiving this transfer from give directly, I was able to paid my children school fees, trying to start plastering my house and my children and I are eating on time.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I feel fine because, give directly send me such a money. So I was happy..
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
At first, I used to work very hard in the bush making farm before my children and I can survive. But now, through the help of give directly, the hard work on the farm has reduced. My children and I are eating on time and are happly living good life.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am bless to receive money from Givedirectly, I intend to spend it on my children school fees because it will help them become productive tomorrow. They are all in Monrovia attending school and are all between Elementary and Junior High, catering to their education is my major priority for now. I am a subsistence farmer who does not earned sufficient money that will maintain my children in school in Monrovia, even though I am being assisted by extended relatives to whom the children are living and attending school, but it's important for me as their father to play an important part of their education. Therefore, any financial gift from Givedirectly will help shape the educational future of my children in Monrovia.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What had made me happy in the past six months is when my children get promoted from one class to another. For example, this academic year one passed to 7th grade while the other passed to 6th grade. This made me share tears because I had long wish, since childhood to become an educated person, but that dream was deny due to the civil war and that I was only able to stopped in 3rd grade. To see that my children have at least past where I stopped and have even reach Junior High in August 2021 makes me very happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship facing me now is money to pay my children school fees. They are all attending school in Monrovia where school fees are very high. Even during the COVID-19 outbreak, they all dropped from school due to money problem because I was unable to burn coal to sell and pay their school fees. Immediately as the COVID-19 outbreak reduced, managed to burn small char coal which was sold to resettle them to Monrovia where they are presently. As of now, because of the rain, I have not been able to burn char-coal and that means that I might not be able to pay their school fees for this academic year. Even though some relatives are helping, but these helps are not enough.
