How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I had never recieved the transfer in that it has enabled me to plan on building. This was far from coming true if I had not recieved transfers.

In my opinion, givedirectly has done well by helping us out of poverty that was really bitting.
However, givedirectly has done nothing bad.
