How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The greatest difference in my life is that now I live in a better house which has a concrete floor. Ialso have good seats in my house and whenever I got visitors I have a pplace where they can sit on comfortably.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly did very well by support every household in our village and I say a big thank you for the good work.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
The second transfer I withdrew and I spent KES 10000 to buy iron sheets for building a kitchen, I spent KES 2500 to buy foodstuff. I am left with KES 40000 which am planning to spend to built a kitchen.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that now am happy having enough food for my family as before we could not have two meals a day as I couldn't afford. Now we can even take vegetable cooked with oil as we would just boil before.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I got a message to my hone confirming that I had received money on my phone I felt so happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
The first thing which I did when I got the money I spent part of it to buy a mattress and a blanket. I also spent some portion to buy maize for consumption and beef. The rest I spent to buy cement and sand for plastering my house which was made of earth. I also bought some furniture with the remaining money.

Receiving this money is like a dream come true,I am now going to furnish my house,own a dairy cow and pay my kid's school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning.It is in the morning when the day is still young and I am energetic enough to face what the day brings forth.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship in my life is the demise of my husband 10 years ago.He passed on at a time when my kids were very young and we really needed him.Single handedly providing for my kids has been really hard we sometimes even go without food.5 years after his demise I lost my 2nd born son because I could not raise money to get him good medication.
