How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life would have been so different if I had never received the transfers, I would not have been able to build construction on my house. I just know that I would have still been struggling in many ways.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Givedirectly does so well by giving us the money which enables us to have things that we were not able to have and I do not see anything that they are not doing well. Everything they do is fine.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfers on adding a new roof to my house and also buying the materials that will require for me to have the roof installed. I also managed to buy a mattress, some maize and some furniture for my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means that I will be able to build a house for and my family. I willalso buy utensils because we do not have enough utensils.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest during the harvesting season because we have enough food to eat.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is not having enough money to buy fertilizer to apply to our maize during the farming season. I depend on casual labor to make money and it's always very hard to find piece works every day.
