How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I plan to build my house with the transfer that give directly gave me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In the past months, I have been suffering in this village and I could not afford money to send my children to school. My husband died and there was no support for my children and I to survive on. It was through give directly transfer that I started sending my children to school and trying to build my own house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought zinc and cement to start the building process.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am bless to receive money from Givedirectly, I intend to support my children in school and use the remaining to buy building materials to build my own house. Since my husband died, my four children responsibilities are on my one. So, I sent them to stay in Bowein Town so that they can complete their Elementary education to move to Sass Town to complete high school. Even though I make gardens during the dry seasons to pay their tuition, but the money is very small that it can't even cover food for the family and school fees. Also the house that I am living in now is spoiling because of the rain. No man behind me that can help cut stick and dig mud to plastered it. The rain has washed almost the entire house. I need money to fix it too, but it's not easy on me taking care of the children and at the same time provide food and build my family house. So, any assistance provided me by Givedirectly to improve my life will be highly appreciated.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What makes me happy in the past six months is when on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 when I sold brooms in Sass Town market and got$1,200.00 Liberian dollars cash that I used to buy one gallon of oil and few cups of rice for the house. Even though I had at least few cups of rice, but there were nothing else to cook with until I visited the Sass Town market and sold my brooms. This makes me feel very happy because my children receive the oil and the few cups of rice I bought.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship facing me now is money to send my children to school and build my family house. Even though I make gardens during the dry seasons to pay their tuition, but the money is very small that it can't even cover food for the family and school fees as well. My house is spoiling because of the rain because no man behind me that can help cut sticks and dig mud to plastered it. The rain has washed almost the entire house.
