How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I renovated my house and now I am living a good life than it was before give directly came in our community.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, giving us the support in form of hard cash was the best practice. This kind of support facilitated me in realizing my dreams in life. I renovated my house and now i am running a small business and for sure my life will never be like it was before Give Directly came into our community.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 1011000 on renovating my house and buying some household items such as mattresses, food and meeting hospital bills for my children. The balance is 622000 that I invested in business. I deal in buying and selling of coffee here in our local market.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that i now sleep well with my children, the house doesn't leak anymore

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is being sickly which hinders me from growing enough food for my family as a result of this I often do not have enough food to feed my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evenning when my spouse comes back home when he has shopped for the family what has been missing at home like sugar,food and the children's school requirements.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to me buying a motorbike so as to start a boda boda business from which I will generate money to support my family financially.
