Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference so far is that I am happy and healthy. I spent part of the cash transfer to treat myself from the adverse effects of food poison. Previously, I was unhealthy and my condition was worrisome. The poison was slowly affecting my body. However, I am very glad that the cash transfer came as a blessing to me.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I heard my neighbours shouting that they had received money from GiveDirectly. Unfortunately, I could not access my mobile money account at that moment. I felt happy because I knew this money was going to help my family.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 200000 on my medical treatment and the balance of UGX 1500000 was spent by my spouse to finance his comprehensive nursing course.
