How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My first, second and third money i received from givedirectly was spend for three bundles of zinc, three packs of nails , paid my children school fees with part of the transfer and saved the balance money to pay the contractors after building my house. I have not developed a new goal because, the last transfer is to complete the building. My life is now better because, i can now afford to sustain my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I needed enough money to complete my house project and moved in with my family. I also wanted to purchase a very big and comfortable mattress for my family. Hence, when I received my transfer, I bought 8 bags of cement to plaster the interior and exterior parts of my house. Furthermore, I purchased a very big mattress for my children and I to relax at night.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
From my own point of view, GiveDirectly has been very objective in implementing this project. They have provided me with cash to improve my livelihood. This has given me hope for the future and I am grateful to GD for all they do.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I had planned to complete my house project by plastering the walls and putting a smooth floor within the entire house. Hence, portion of my transfer was used to purchase 8 bags of cement for $10,200LD. The remaining portion of my transfer was used to buy a very big mattress for my family. I am so delighted to be part of this unique project that has helped changed my life.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The first time I received the first transfer I was so eager to get this huge amount of money from this organisation. I'm a single mother of two kids that don't have a Father. I'm depending on cutting the contract before my children can go to school. with this transfer, I'm going to be able to do a business that will help them. I just purchased a few bundles of zinc to start with my house project.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life now is that I'm about to have a new house. my children are all in school with their friends. I m very much appreciate this organisation for their tireless support of me as an NGO.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
A huge of my transfer will be used for my house and the little amount will be used for my children's tuition. I just bought a new bundle of zinc to start building my house. hoping for my next transfer so that I can start a business that will help me.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I plan to build a zine house and to do business to help support my children. When you look around my town, you will not fine any zine house because most of us are suffering and can't afford to my zine. My husband is the Townchief of the town so whenever we have strangers there's no decent place for them to sleep. That's why my desire is to build a house and do support my children in school with my transfer.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the past months, I have not really been happy because of the financial hardship faced by my family but I have been hopeful because of the good news I was hearing about Givedirectly. Today I am the happiest person because Givedirectly have enter my town and my prayers are now answered.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am facing a lot of challenges but the main one is financial problems. Apart from making farm to produce fufu and farina, cutting palm to produce oil and setting trap for meat, we don't have any other source of income. Because of the financial hardship faced by my family we can't afford to build a house and support our children in school.
