How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed in that I own a plot of land. I have been staying in my friend's house together with my three children and life hasn't been easy. But very soon I'll move into my own house built on the plot of land I bought with the GiveDirectly transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
According to me, GiveDirectly has done well by enabling me own a plot of land. There is nothing bad that it has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer to complete the purchase of my plot of land and for buying bricks.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the feeling of joy now that I am in position to have my own plot of land. I will build, be independent and avoid the issue where people in my community keep pushing me out of their land.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt so anxious and happy. Thankfully I prayed together with my children.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent most of my first transfer Ugx 1070000 to partially pay for a plot of land that I intend to complete using the next transfer. I used some of my transfer to buy some food that I used to feed my family. I paid off some debts that I had.
