Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In four months’ time, my new goal for my life is to procure a water tank for harvesting and saving water. We live in a village where people have made a lot of partitions and fenced their farms making a movement with water so inaccessible. The water shortage that is also experienced in the region is also very inconveniencing and so the need for the water tank.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I currently stress-free after completing school fee payments for my children who have been studying in secondary school. They studied so well without being interrupted as a result of being sent back for school fee collection. I also feel very happy now that I am able to provide for family without fail and with not too much struggle. Comparing now to before are just two different worlds which never adds up and I am happy for having gotten the support from this amazing organization.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My wife and I were in a constant worry because my children would call every end of the month saying that they have been asked to vacate the rooms they stay in at school. It was very difficult for me to raise the money to pay for the rent because I rely on farm products that do not necessary yield enough at the end of the month. However, my worries have since been cast away after I started to use the transfers on paying rent. This is because the transfers are regular and the the landloard accepted to adjust the paymebt dates. I am always able to pay the children's rent without any further problems. I am so happy that I am able to take care of this needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal is to invest some of the money on my farm. I intend to use it to buy seeds and fertilezer. When the crop matures, it will provide food for the household and thereby reduce the amount of money spent on food on a daily basis.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The bigest difderence in my daily life is the fact that all my children have been enabled to persue their education. I use the money that I receive on paying for their education expenses. For example, I have been ussing the money to pay for my son's rental cahrges for the house he stays in at school. The last four months have been smoothly spent at school letting him to concentrate on his studies. Unlike before, he is nolonger bothered by the landlord due to unpaid rents. I am also freer in my thoughts because I am nolonger worried about rental fees.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to be better because my son will have completed his course. I look forward to have him graduate and get a job immediately. This will then be the fruits of my labour.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different in that I can now afford to meet the cost of some of the most basic needs like food and clothes for my family without much struggle like I used to do before. I used to do a lot of casual jobs just to get enough money to feed the family and which often left me feel like I had failed in my responsibilities as a parent. Affording to meet some of these basic necessities has given me pride as a parent and made me reclaim my sense of responsibility. I have earned more respect from my family and other members of the society and this has equally raised my self esteem. I am so much indebted to GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My son has just completed his secondary school studies and is due to join university in the next few months. He therefore comes first in my priority plans and am starting to save up enough money to enable me pay for his rent and school fees so that he can have a smooth transition to college. This also calls for more income generating activities as I have to continue paying school fees for the rest who are still in secondary school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Four months a go and beyond, life had posed a fair share of challenges to us as a family. We were basically living from hand to mouth. It was difficult for me to put enough food on the table for the family while at the same time struggling to pay huge school fee balances for my children who were in various schools. Some were at the verge of dropping out of school. The shortage of food was brought about by lack of enough land to till and produce enough for my family. I can now afford to keep my children in school and am moving towards sustainable food production for the family. I have been able to till more acreages of land leased to increase food production that can be consumed and the surplus sold to make enough money to pay school fees for my children. My children being sent home for school fee has become a thing of the past. This has been the greatest difference in my daily life in the last four months.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six I expect my life to change in that we will have more farm produce for the family. Recently, we have embarked on horticultural farming that will see us have more income for the family and within the shortest time possible. This, we expect will help us raise more money for family use and more specifically in paying school fees for our children who are in various schools. It is also an assurance to the family that we will not lack food anytime soon like we were used to doing in the past.
