How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
We now live in a better house as the floor has been cemented,,we have enough food(and we eat very healthy and nutritious foods).
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
It provides unconditional cash transfers to people to improve their living standards..This is a great thing because the money helps in ending some major challenges that we face such as improving our houses by purchasing iron sheets and buying food..
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The cash was used to purchase bags of cement which was used to cement for flooring as wellas plastering..The money was also used to buy a few bafs of maize.. We also used the money to purchase a door and some lime which was used for painting the house..

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Since I am blind, I was informed by my grandchildren that the transfer has been send. That moment I wished I could see with my own eyes but I couldn't, what i only did was just rejoicing. Then I started dancing and sing thanks giving songs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I lost my house in 2019 due to rains and winds. So I had no where to sleep or to put my things. But by God's grace, one villager told us to be living in her house until we built our own. I had no hope until GD send me the transfer. I am now building my own house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought iron sheet about 25 sheets, fertiliser 2 bags and 3 bags of maize.
