How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving this transfer the only goal i had was to have a house but now that i have managed to receive this transfer and currently iam building a new house i have new goals now i would like to start keeping livestock like goats and chicken at my house so that when they multiple i should sale some and make money for my house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The fact that give directly gave us unconditional transfer that we were able to use and overcome problems that we face at our household unlike other organizations is what give directly did well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Every farming season life has been difficult for us as we did not own a hoe for making ridges so we wait till the ownes are done in there farms so we were always the last ones, soon after the money reflected in my Momo account immediately i went to purchase a new hoe and other farm inputs like seeds and fertilizer so that this year i should be able to complete all the farming activities in time and produce enough, Not only that i have also managed to buy School uniform for my children who were chased from school because lf not wearing one, In addition to all this i have also purchased a Solar panel thats iam using to charge my phone and radio to risted to news.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means that I will have enough food to eat with my family. The maize I harvested lasted last year in November. Currently, we are relying on buying everything to eat. As soon as I receive this money, I will buy food. I also plan to build another house. The house I am living in now leaks and it's made of unbaked bricks. I desire to have a bigger house, made of baked bricks with cement. It will also have a roof made of iron sheets which does not leak.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months I am happy that God has kept me and my family alive. We have all been healthy so I am grateful for life.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I am currently facing is not having enough money to buy food for my family. I depend on casual labor like farming in other people's farms to make money. I usually make about MK5000 when I farm for a day. I use that to buy maize which lasts for a week. Unfortunately, I don't find piece works often.
