How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I would not have owned a house. I had no money to buy building materials.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by giving out unconditional cash transfer. There is nothing that GiveDirectly is doing that is not good.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spend my second transfer on to start a business of selling maize at the shopping center, I bought utensils, food for the family, a heifer and the rest of the money I used it to complete the construction that was ongoing at home.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My heart has been longing to have something that I don't have in my house. Receiving this money will help me get these desires that I have always had, like buying house utensils and improving my house.

My happiest part of the day is in the evening, this is the time we take the common meal with my children and share the stories together.
