How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is much better because I can afford to have a balanced diet. In the past, I only ate vegetables because had no money. Secondly, soon I sleep comfortably in a permanent house after I have completed to cement and plaster it. Currently, I'm still occupying my a leaking thatched house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by enabling me build a permanent house which I couldn't. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying building materials ( timber, nails, Windows, cement and doors), bought a cow, food and utensils.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I enjoy it with a great peace of mind. This is because I no longer suffer from hunger as before since I can afford food and now have more land to cultivate crops.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer I felt too excited. This was my first time to handle such a huge amount of money.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on building materials such as iron sheets, cement and timber. I also rented an acre of agricultural land, bought food and households like utensils, beddings.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Recieving this money means that I will be able to complete my house since its at the roofing stage.The high costs of maintaining a grass thatched hut have made me to prioritize completing my house first then other things will follow.The other remaining balance of money will be used for the educating my children.School fees have also been a burden to me since I am a widow.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is during lunch time when my children have come back home for lunch and I have managed to provide a meal for them.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am facing is raising the children alone since I am a widow.I have no other person assisting me yet the children need basic needs.
