How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Previously, my income was meager which ment pressing needs like food. Therefore, we had to struggle and stay in a squeezed old shanty with cracked walls since that's what we would afford. Since I started receiving these transfers, I used part of it to buy building materials such as iron sheets and now its almost in completion. I am hopeful that with the upcoming transfer I will shall have collected the required building materials and complete the remaining parts. Currently, this is the biggest difference I can proudly mention that I have achieved in the last four months.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any goal for the next four months but rather I plan to buy building materials such as iron sheets, timbers and nails which that I intend to complete the construction of my new house. I believe I will have a better house that can accommodate my family comfortably.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
My life has really changed in the last four months. When I take a picture of it I was in a small house that couldn't accommodate my family members comfortably. Sometimes, the thought of owning a decent house sounded like a nightmare because my income was meagre hence saving to actualize this dream was not possible, I have built a new house but it's not fully constructed despite the level it has reached I am thankful to GiveDirectly because it wouldn't have been possible on my own effort .
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that, I shall have bought the required building materials which will facilitate the completion of the construction of my new house. Having completed the construction of this house I will be more than relieved since it has been my longest dream that seemed unachievable.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Buy a mattress for my children who had a rough experience sleeping on a thin old mattress that made them not to have enough rest at night. Currently, it is the proudest difference I am highlighting because my children are now very proactive and energetic during the day because of enough rest unlike before.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy building materials like cement and sand. I shall be purchasing in bits on a monthly basis for the next four months. These materials will necessitate the plastering of my mud house which will make my work easier since I won't have to smear it more often like I currently do.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my house has steel windows that I had been longing for in a long time. I was not able to achieve this before due to lack of money because the income I made could only sustain my family's needs and it was impossible to replace my previous wooden windows. Having these wooden windows made me feel embarrassed to invite my friends over to come to visit. Today, I feel privileged to have a beautiful house that is well ventilated that is enhanced with the presence of these steel windows that I had put.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect that my life will have changed in the next six months in that I shall have bought the necessary building materials which will facilitate the plastering of my mud house. I will no longer be living in a dusty mud house which affects my family's health with frequent cough and being sickly.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been able to use these transfers to purchase critical household items such as beddings which were quite a big problem in my house. My children who slept on a mat before are now comfortably sleeping on a mattress which I purchased using GD transfers and I was also able to buy a larger quality mattress which has solved my constant back problems that were caused by the light old one I used before.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to plaster my house because it is currently made of mud and it constantly requires high maintenance, especially during the rainy season. It is also very dusty which affect my family members causing the chest problems. I had already purchased sand and all I require right now is cement and the labour fees.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I am the sole breadwinner in my family and my job does not pay much. All I earned was entirely spent on foodstuff and school fee payment which made it hard to buy other necessities in the house. With these transfers, I have been able to make more savings because my wife can also help with the daily requirements, courtesy of these transfers, giving me a chance to take care of the critical needs in my house such as buying new beddings which now allows us to sleep better.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I hope to be living in a better environment free from dust and the stress of constantly having to repair the damaged parts of my house. This will give my wife quite a relief and better health for the entire household.
