How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I now sleep in a better house that is spacious enough than before.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has done well by giving unconditinal cash transfers to the poor. I do not see what they have not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second cash transfer worth 1,633,000ugx, I used it for buying building materials worth 956,000ugx, I bought a mattress at 120,000ugx, utensils at 20,000ugx, bedsheets at 33,000ugx, a drum at 35,000ugx, a sprayer at 60,000ugx, food consumed 50,000ugx and the balance of 359,000ugx is saved.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I feed well, am able to buy whatever I want to eat. I also sleep on a good bed and I feel so happy.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money I felt so happy and I ululated. It was 5:00am but I never slept again.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying a mattress, a pair of bedsheets, water drum. I also repaired my ox- plough and bought cement, sand and bricks for renovating my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
It means a lot in my life and family at large because we shall buy our own cows that will help us in farming.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest day is when i have hope of getting money just like today when GD visited my home.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have illness like pressure and ulcers and they always put me down and treatment is expensive so attimes am forced to go for cheap remedies which expose my life to danger.
