How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life is that I have cows of my own and that I have paid school fees for my children.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly did so well in giving freedom of use with the transfer. It really helped us in making various decisions. I would just wisgh that they come back so that we give appreciation.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used the transfer that I received to buy three cows for rearing and used the rest to buy food for my amily.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that now I have more stock in my shop and since then I have realized good profit.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I got the money I didn't believe my eyes and thought I had received KES 55 but confirming I saw it was KES 55000 and I felt so happy. I then rushed to a nearby agent and withdrew the money.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
Am a parent and I spent part of the money to pay school fees for my children in secondary school. I sent KES 22000 to buy a water tank for storing water. I also spent KES 15000 to add stock to my shop.

Receiving this money will be of great help to me.I have never received such a huge amount which is not refundable.With it,I will be able to increase stock for my business hence improving my family's income
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening.This is the time when i have completed my activities for the day and have returned home.During this time,I help my children with their studies and also get time for a chat with them and this makes me really happy
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have not had a maize harvest in some years now.This is mainly due to a certain disease which was then followed by a severe drought.This really strained me financially since I had to purchase maize for my family.This is the biggest hardship I have faced.
