How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No, there is no new goal for now. My previous planned still stands. I said to GiveDirectly from the beginning that, I'm going to use my money on three major activities. To pay my children's school fees, use some for feeding and to build a little portable house for my family and I.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Everything that GiveDirectly has done are all good. She has done more than good for our communities and family. We don't have anything to give GiveDirectly in return but God will pay her for this uncountable good.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent little portions of my money on children's school fees, I bought food for the house and I bought two bundles of zinc for the construction of my house.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My husband is the one who keeps the phone because he knows how to read and write. One day the news was every where about people receiving their transfer. My husband took the phone and went at the network coverage area to check, when he came back he told me that Give Directly has sent the transfer. I was really happy that day when he gives me the news that I started to thank God for making GIVE DIRECTLY to help us.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life now is, I am no more struggling to feed myself like I did before receiving my transfer. I'm also able to meet other needs like building a house etc
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
We spent our transfer on school fees, uniform, shoes, food, and we saved the balance money.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money from Givedirectly, I plan to establish a fish business. I was a fish merchant prior to my my C-section. I bought from cold storages in Monrovia and sold (at retail price) to residents of upper Mecca clan. But when I went through the C-section, I had to rest for a while to prevent complications. In the interim, my business collapsed. So when I receive the money from Givedirectly, I will reestablish my business. I then join a saving club with the profit. When I collect the club, I will reinvest some of the profit and pay our kids fees with whatever remains.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The coming of GD to Memeh town gives and my participation in this program gives me joy. Since my operation, I've been praying to raise money to re-enter into business. Seeing an NOG who've come to give me money makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The primary challenge I am currently faced with is to pay my kids tuation in time My husband is unemployed. Before I went through the C-section (operation), I sold fish to pay my kids tuation . Since I underwent the C-section in November 2020, my business collapsed and I can barely pay my kids tuation. As a result, my kids are often asked out of class because of unpaid fees.
