How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is at peace than it would have been if I never received the transfers. I'm so happy and wishing if Give Directly could come back and give me more money. I have also shifted from the grass thatched house to a permanent house and my children are at school because of these transfers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has helped a lot in terms of helping me built a house, pay school fees and feeding my household. In terms of operation, Give Directly delivers transfers straight to recipients compared to other organizations therefore we get our whole transfers as per their promised. Give Directly is a honest, transparent and efficient Organization because what they promised me is what I received. However, Give Directly has done nothing wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
Since I had started building a house using my first transfer and it was incomplete, I used the second transfer to complete the house. I spent in the region of UGX 1000000 for buying materials and paying labor. I have also paid school fees with this transfer for my children and I used UGX 200000. I spent UGX 280000 for both feeding and leisure and saved UGX 153000 for future use.
