Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to build a permanent kitchen. I currently stay in a mud walled house. The house has served us for several years and it is now old. I now intend to build a low maintenance house that is easy to clean.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life ever since Give Directly came into my life is that I am less worried in life. I am always calm and at peace. I no longer worry about how I will take care of my family's needs or even how I would boost my poultry project and buy livestock feeds and vet. Since I am one of GiveDirectly's beneficiaries, I was able to start these projects. The projects have really been of great help in taking care of most of our basic needs. I have also been able to pay my children's school fees with ease.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to be financially stable such that I can comfortably pay school fees for my children. I strive to be successful in my poultry farming so that the proceeds from these projects can help with these plans. I also want to live in a permanent house. My kitchen right now is made of mud and the roof is grass-thatched and maintaining it is quite labor-some and costly. All these plans are all aimed at improving our general welfare and lifestyle in the long run. I believe I will be able to achieve them since I now have the means to reach these goals.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently differentt in that I am now financially able and can afford most of the basic needs that I could not afford initially. I was able to start a poultry project using the transfer received from Give Directly. I first started by buying a few chicks. I would always buy more chicks whenever I get the monthly transfer. The chicken house was not a problem because there was an idle structure within the compound that came in handy. I am planning to add more chicken because the business generates good profits. I believe when I add more I will get more profits.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to improve my poultry project by buying a wire mesh to fence off asection of my compound for the project. This will ensure my chicken are safe.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before we started receiving the transfers from Give Directly, we used to really struggle to ensure that our children are not sent away from school for failure to pay their school fees. And since we depended on casual jobs and proceeds from the sale of farm produce which is unreliable, I was always worried that my children would end up being sent home. When we started receiving, I ensured I would always top up the transfer and pay the school fees The biggest difference therefore since then is that i am very confident that my children would have an ample time studying. I am so happy for Givedirectly.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to buy a pickup truck to help me supply my farm produce. Having decided to do intensive and improved farming, I want to increase my scope of supply too. Doing so requires an efficient transport system hence the need to buy a pickup. This I pray will go along way in ensuring that I get more financially stable and be able to pay the school for my children. I also pray that it will enable me to build a permanent house.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I feel more proud about myself than I was four months a go. I feel proud that I have been able to help my husband as he struggles to make family's investments that will help us a lot in meeting any expenditures that comes our way. My poultry project and the monthly transfers that I get has made me so resourceful to the family. Relieving my husband from some of the responsibilities has enabled him to concentrate on other bigger projects like dairy farming which has seen us have more income for the family. More income for the family means that we can always meet foreseen and unforeseen family needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I want to help my husband as he tries to improve our dairy unit. We have plans of laying down pipes that will channel water from the river to the dairy unit to minimize cow movement which will see us have more milk production. The cow that we have is currently producing 15 litres of milk while it should not produce below 20 litres. Improving this dairy unit will ensure that we have more milk produced and this directly increases income for the family and enable us pay any bills that comes our way as a family. Combining proceeds from dairy farming and poultry keeping will see us pay school fees with very little difficulty if any.

I started with less than ten chicken but I now have 50 egg laying chicken. I collect up to 40 eggs per day and this is enough for me to buy chicken feeds and meet other family's needs. I have been able to lend a helping hand to my husband contrary to the days when we relied on him for almost everything that we needed. This has been the greatest difference in my daily life in the last four months.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six moths, we are set on improving our dairy farming. We have plans of channeling water from a nearby river to the already established dairy unit so that cow movement shall be minimized. Minimizing the movement of our cows will see us produce more milk in the days to come and consequently have more income for the family.
