What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Receiving this money will help me to buy three bags of fertilizer to use for the next planting season. Each bag of fertilizer will cost me $65. I have a one acre farm where I plant maize every year but this year I only harvested five bags of maize because I did not have money to buy fertilizer. Being able to apply fertilizer in my farm will help us to increase the crop yield.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the month of June, I was happy because my husband had made $10 from molding bricks for three weeks. We used the money to pay medical bills for my son who had broke his arm.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge that I am currently facing is shortage of food. I rely on casual jobs to earn money to provide food for my family. Casual jobs have been scarce in my village. I am only able to get one casual job in a week. I make about $5 depending on the type of job I find. This has affected my family of four because we are only able to have one or two meals a day.
