What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 700,000 UGX on purchasing timber, and I spent 600,000 UGX on making bricks, and the balance of the cash transfer I spent it on feeding my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has done well to provide people with unconditional cash transfers which have helped many poor families. People have started up businesses and built good houses. On my side personally there is nothing bad that givedirectly has done.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The difference I have in my life is that I now have a home of my own and my family is healthy. Back then I was socially alienated, I did not have a decent home and I could not socialise with local community freely because of my status. Iam thankful to givedirectly because it has really changed my life and my family.
