My new goal is to complete my house. I also want to open a Woodward shop where l will be making doors and chairs for sale. I also bought my last bundle of zinc and other building materials. my children were out of school for the past year because of the low income that I'm getting from the farming job.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly did a lot of good things for me and my family. i was living in an old house that doesn't have zinc over it. with this transfer, I'm about to open a wooding shop that will help me and my family. givedirectly is a transparent NGO that I give credit to.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am a farmer. I cut palm and make oil to take to local markets for sale. The business was not going so well. Due to the economy, customers could hardly buy. I was excited when I received my transfer. My goal has been to live in a decent house. The roof of my house is tarsh. During the rainy season it leaks. I have always wanted to change the roof but due to lack of money I have not been able to do so. I am grateful that I got enrolled in this program. I know that my life will now improve for the best.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does not do anything wrongly. It's cash program is na amazing opportunity to improve our lives. I was overwhelmed when they came to our town. Being enrolled in this program is an amazing opportunity I am grateful for. Hopefully afyer receiving all of the transfers things will get better for my family.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Our house is not in a good condition. The roof is tarsh. During the rainy season, it leaks. We can hardly sleep at night when it rains. We have to stay awake to put tubs to the places the roof leaks from. I used some of my money to buy zinc. I used a little amount to buy a bag of rice. I used rest of my transfer for my children tuition.Things have been a bit difficult for my family. Sometimes I can hardly afford our daily meals. I could no longer afford my children tuition. They dropped from school. I was so excited when I got enrolled in the GiveDirectly's cash program. Hopefully, after receiving all of the transfers our lives will get better.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
After receiving my payment from GiveDirectly, my new goal is to build a new and bigger house for my family and I. I'm a father with seven children, although all are not living with me presently, but whenever they come home for vacation we always have limited space to accommodate all of us. However, with my recent transfer I have decided to built a bigger house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly is doing extremely well for us. My entire life this is the first of this kind. The humanitarian work done tirelessly by this Organization is commandable. In my opinion GiveDirectly has not done anything that is not well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With my new goal of building a new and bigger house for my family and I in order to create more space for accommodation, I was able to buy the first bundle of zinc as start up for the project. Most importantly, I used the remaining money to pay my six children that are presently in school second installment tuition fees. Thanks to GiveDirectly for this financial support. I am a proud father today because of their help.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Since I was born, I have never receive such amount of money. Due to this, I was surprised and happy when I heard the news about the transfer. I doubted it. I was so happy because the money was too much for me to believe. I been wanting to buy zinc and build a house, but I have never been able to get my plan to reality. When I received the transfer, it made me to believe that my plans were reality for a better future.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have never been so satisfied like the way I am. GiveDirectly made me to get what I have never earn before and what I have been planning to do but I have never been able to do. My life has totally changed for good because of my new house and the kind of bed that I am sleeping on. I now wear decent clothes like other affordable people. I am so proud. Thanks to God Almighty for GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have living under a leaking thatch roof that been making me to feel very much uncomfortable over periods of time now. I have also been sleeping on a 4 inc spoiled mattress that makes my head full with pieces of mattress when I wake up from bed in the morning. When received the money from Givedirectly, I was able to buy zinc to build myself a decent house. I also used portion of the money to buy a 10 inch mattress and some close. I am very much satisfied and grateful to GiveDirectly for making me feel better like any other human being and making me to have a better future and a decent house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
In 2018, an NGO called Youth Opportunity Project came to our village and decided to aid us with 150 USD on three separate occasions. My initial plan for that money was to change the roof of my house to zinc. When I received the money, my mother got seriously sick where I have to take her to Monrovia for treatment. As a result of her sickness, I couldn't change the roof of my house as I initially planned. As I speak, my house is leaking seriously on us. If I am blessed to receive any financial aid from Give Directly, I will use portion of it to roof my house to zinc and the rest will be used to establish a business and send my children to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The news of Give Directly coming to my town brought me so much happiness. I was happy because Give Directly has been changing the lives of many people around us since they entered this county. Your visit has given us hope that things will be okay with me and my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My children are out of school and my house is in a very bad condition. I have had so much challenge in generating money to send my children to school and to fix the roof of my house.
