How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different from how it was four months ago in that, I managed to do farming and got a bumper harvest. This has saved me a lot because I no longer do the hectic casual jobs that pay very low wages. I usually sell the harvest in order to meet my daily needs. This has also supported my children school fees.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save money and pay school fees for my children so that they will be able to pursue their dream without any interference.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have used the money I received from GiveDirectly to pay for my children's school fees. It's really a good feeling going to school regularly without being sent home for school fees since one is able to understand more on what is being taught. Their performance has improved compared to previous terms.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months because from the sales I will have saved enough money to build a kitchen. I badly want to build this kitchen because my children are first approaching the adolescent stage and I don't have an extra room to accommodate them.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different in that I have a peace of mind since I have been able to invest a lot on applying inputs in my farm such as buying seedling and also hiring workers to assist me in cultivating it with the monthly payments. Therefore I cultivated a large parcel of land hence I am certain that at the end of this rainy season I will be able to get enough food to feed my family and also pay school fees for my children after selling part of the yields.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Having felt the pain of having one meal in a day or not, I have known the importance of tilling my farm. Therefore my new goal in the next four months is to save money which I am planning to use on cultivating my farm for in the long rainy season.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before Givedirectly came to my village I used to cultivate my farm by hand which was tiresome and as a result, the yields I got was little to sustain my family hence at times we would have a meal for the whole day. However, the biggest difference in my daily life is that I have invested a lot on applying inputs in my farm such as buying seedling and also hiring workers to assist me in cultivating it with the monthly payments. Therefore I have been able to cultivate a large parcel of land hence I am certain that at the end of this rainy season I will be able to get enough food to feed my family and also pay school fees for my children after selling part of the yields..
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect in the next four months to have saved enough money and use it on cultivating my farm for in the long rain season. Having applied the right resources in my farm I believe I will have good yields and thereafter; I would sell part of the output to pay school fees for my children and also have enough food to feed on.
