What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Firstly, we plan on buying 15 bags of maize for food security. Then we plan on improving this house further, thus, cement for the floor and plaster and also buy a bed. We plan on doing this because we feel like this will bring us comfort and joy and fulfil our long desire of living in a decent house. With the current cost of living, this would cost us 700$. We plan on doing this after the rainy season is over having received the cash.
What is the happiest part of your day?
This has to be in September 2022 when we managed to put a new roof on this house. It used to be grass thatched but now it's iron roofed so yes, the day we did this was the happiest in the last 6 months.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
As a household are currently facing one challenge and that is low food stock levels. We are only remaining with a single bag of maize and 2 bags of millet and we worry this will not sustain us until next year.
