How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different in that, I have been able to construct for myself a permanent house. In the past, I used to sleep under a very old thatched house that always leaked whenever it rained.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give directly has done well in enabling the poor afford the basic necessities of life that they could hardly afford previously. For example, I was able to build just like many of my community members who did same. On the other hand, Give directly has done nothing bad in our community.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on hiring an acre of land at Ugx200000. In addition, I bought more building materials worth Ugx1433000 for completing my permanent house.
