How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes I have new goals that I did not have before receiving this transfer. My goal is to improve my house. My old house had a roof made of strolls , this has been a problem because the roof would leak during the rainy season and sometimes it would blow off due to the wind. When it leaks my children had no place to sleep or to eat as the house would be wet. And so my goal is to put a new roof made of iron sheets so that we can stay comfortable in the house even during the rainy season.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GD is doing well by helping the poor with cash transfer. Everyone who is helped is living happy and has been able to buy the things they were not able to buy. The is nothing GD is not doing well in my opinion
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have spent my most recent transfer on bags of maize so that I have enough food to eat in my family. I bought fertilizer which is helping me with my farming and iron sheets that I am using to improve my house by putting a new roof on my house. My children also have new shorts and cloths and this way they can go to school properly dressed.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive the money, I will buy food, iron sheets and beddings and clothes for my children. These are things I have been struggling with every day so the money will be a solution to my problems.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I haven't been happy because I'm living in poverty. If I don't find a job to do that day it means I won't eat at home.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I meet are lack of money for food, clothes and beddings. I do piece work to sustain my family. That is washing people's clothes, farming their land and whatever someone can pay me to do. But at times there's no job and that means no food for my household.
