Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
On October 21, 2021 around the morning hours, I came from praying at the mosque and decided to take a rest. While resting, I heard my phone ringing; I quickly took the phone and give to my brother to read it for me because I am illiterate. When he read it, he told me that I have received money from GiveDirectly on my mobile money account. I began to dance and rejoice with my children because I was so happy and grateful.

The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly:
I sold kiss-meat to raise money for my children school fees every school year which is not easy at all but I did it because of condition. Sometimes I can feel pain in my back and body because of the hard work but since GiveDirectly give me this money, I am not looking for kiss-meat again to sell because I have settled my children school fees with the money GiveDirectly sent me.

What I spend my most recent transfer on:
I used the money to send my two daughters to school so that they can learn and have better jobs in the future to help me. Before GiveDirectly sent me this money, I used to look for kiss-meat in the swamp area to sell and raise money for my children school fees. I thank God for GiveDirectly help given to me.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful to receive the transfer I intend to rebuild portion of my house that got damaged and to pay my children tuition fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What makes me happy within the last six months has been when my son bought me slappers.I did had money to buy slappers so when I received the slappers that makes me feel happy
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge I'm facing right now is how to get money to pay my children tuition fees and feed my family.Even though I'm making a small kissimeat business but the profit is not enough to feed my household and pay my children tuition fees.
