How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the money in that I now have a decent house, I used to sleep in the house with a leaking roof but now am safe. I also got back the land that I had mortgaged which am going to utilize for farming.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly did well to give me money that enabled me to construct an iron roofed house, pay off debts and school fees for my child. I don't see any thing they are not doing well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer for constructing an Iron roofed house because it's difficult to get grass thatch, The balance of the money I used for paying a debt of UGX 200,000 and school fees of UGX 100,000.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have acquired construction materials with this transfer and I now have hope that I can construct an iron roofed house.

The moment I received the transfer I became so happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying construction materials( bricks, ironsheets, sand, a door, windows)1,490,000ugx. I paid school fees of 150,000ugx, I boought a cloth 25,000ugx and food at 35,00ugx.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will build a residential house for my family. This is because where we curently sleep isn't in good shape
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when my children listen to me when I request for help
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship is lack of oxen for ploughing. So I till land using a hand hoe which isn't easy.
