How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different in that, I constructed a permanent house. Although the house is not yet complete, I'm optimistic of surviving the terror of the rains. The thatched house I currently stay in leaks too much to the extent that whenever it rains I have to fold my mattress untill it stops raining. In other wards, I spend sleepless nights most of the time during rainy season which isn't nice at all.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well by alleviating poverty from my community and personally I have been able to build with their transfers. There is nothing bad that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on building materials such as iron sheets, timber, windows and nails for roofing my permanent house.
