Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I own goats like the other people in the village. I not only take care of my grandmother's buy mine too which has brought a lot of joy in my heart. My dream of rearing animals has come to a reality, thanks to GiveDirectly.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was about 5.55am in the morning when I received a call from my uncle, I did not know what made him call that early but I just decided to pick the call. The news that I got left me with joy in my heart, he was just one of the beneficiaries who had received his transfer and was just confirming if I had seen the message. I was very happybecause I knew that most of my problem would be solved with the transfer.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have been taking care of my grandmother's goats but the dream of rearing my own had been strong in my heart and this came to a reality when I spent part of my transfer on purchasing three goats and luckily one of them have given birth to twins. I plan to sell some of them when they increase in number and continue supporting my relative in paying fees. I also bought 10 pieces of iron sheets which I will use in building a decent house, is that the current one is old. I finally did shopping for my dear grandmother just to appreciate her since she has been their since my parent died.
