Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving money from GiveDirectly is that I'm so happy and I feel relieved having bought building materials that I have struggled to raise a long time. I now believe very soon I'll have a decent house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received the money, I felt so happy because I knew finally I got a solution to the leaking house.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have plans of constructing a new house because the house I'm currently staying in is soon falling and when it rains I'm rained on so when I received the money I spent it on iron sheets and timber that I'll use once I get my second transfer to build a new house.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of a stable job to get me a better and consistent income. I am a casual worker and the jobs are not always guaranteed. This makes it so difficult to take care of my family expenses like food and school fees for my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I get to wake up and realize that God has blessed me to see another day.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money makes me happy. I will use it to build my own house since I stay in a single room that I get to pay rent.
