How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I do not have any new goals. My goal has always been to live in a better home and to see my children become future leaders. Things have been difficult for my family. I am just a poor farmer. I struggle to get food for my family. I am so grateful for the GiveDirectly program. I am thankful that I got enrolled. I was happy when I got enrolled. My life will now get better.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly is doing nothing wrong. It is giving us unlimited cash and asking for nothing in return. That is amazing. GiveDirectly is changing our lives. Giving us a better future. We are so grateful for this opportunity. Hopefully, after receiving all of the transfers our lives will get better.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am so grateful that I was enrolled on this GiveDirectly cash program. Hopefully, after receiving all of the transfers my life will get better. Things have been a bit difficult for my family. I could hardly afford our daily meals. I was excited when GiveDirectly came to my town. It's cash program has changed my life for the best. Hopefully after receiving all of the payments my live will get better. I used some of my money to buy rice and some other food items for my family. I also used some to buy zinc to build my house. I saved the rest so that I can pay the contractors.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
One of my brothers decided to check his phone to see whether Give Directly has sent his transfer. He went to a network area place to be able to check his account, he then realized that the transfer was sent. He was the one who brought the news to the town and everyone began to rush to the network area to do the same. It was then I realized that my transfer has been sent, I was so excited, knowing fully well that much is about to be accomplished!
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My house has been empty for the past months, finding food was one thing that has been so challenging for my family and I. Where we live is also not conducive, the raining season has made it so challenging for us, that whenever it's raining we have to fold ourselves one place just to gain comfort. Give Directly transfer has made my house full of different meals. My family and I have enough to eat and by the grace of God, we will be removing the tach from our house and replace it with zinc. My family and I will live comfortably and we will not have to worry whether it rains or not.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought zink, provisions and clothes for my children.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I plan to buy zinc to build my house and to also extend my garden. I believe that when I have extended garden, i will be able to do something for my family and myself as a household.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The main thing that has brought me joy is that, since I was born, today I have begin to experience GiveDirectly coming in my town telling me that they will bring a help for me, that makes me more happy. I thank God for GiveDirectly.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Now we don't have any money to build a house, to get better food for eating and we don't have any money to send our children to school; my very self don't have any money to continue my education and i don't have any money to buy material things in the home because of poverty. By GiveDirectly helping me with cash, I will be able to do better.
