How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is better now because I have held money that I could not get on my own before. This money is going to enable me buy a piece of land of my own. I came back to our home with three children after marriage failed, according to our culture those children don't belong to our clan and they are not entitled to land ownership. I am glad that GiveDirectly sent me money that will enable me buy land for them.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly, in my opinion does well to reach individuals at household level. They did well not to ask for bribes from me. There is nothing wrong with how they operate.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have saved UGX 1,600,000 from my second transfer and I intend to use it for buying a piece of land. I bought food and soap at UGX 32,000.
