How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My first and second money was spend for my children school fees part of the transfer and save the balance money. My third money was used for 20 bags of cements to improved my old house and paid my contractors. With the last money i have not developed a new goal because. I put my money in a saving Club to sustain my family when Givedirectly shall have left the county. My life is now better than before because, everything is doing good in my household. Poverty have reduced since i received the money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I appreciate Givedirectly for changing my life to better. Everything went well and my life is better.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With my last transfer transfer, i put all of my transfer into a susu club. My life is now better .Thanks for the gift.

I have not developed a new goal because, I want to complete the improvement of my old house .I been working very hard all days to take care of my family until GiveDirectly came into my life. Since I received the money, I can now rest and handle my own money with out hard work like before. Thanks to GiveDirectly because my appearance is looking good.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was working on my farm when I received a message notification on my phone. I right away stopped work to check what message notification it was. Surprisingly, it was the mobile money message from GiveDirectly that I have been wishing to receive. I immediately stopped working and went home to tell my wife the good news. I felt overwhelmingly happy upon receiving this transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started recieving payments from GiveDirectly is that, I feel so happy now a day because my wish of having a zinc house is now coming true through intervention of GiveDirectly. I want to thank GiveDirectly for this wonderful opportunity given me and my family.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have long wish to have a zinc house but due to the lack of money my wish has not come true. First I want to thank God for GiveDirectly coming to this town to help with this money. When I got the money, I bought two bundles of zinc and a cartoon of nails for the renovation of my house. As you can see, the thatch on my house no longer holds the rain waters especially during the rainy seasons.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"The house we currently live in is an incomplete one that we have been building from the proceeds of crop we produce from our garden. Due to the low income from the garden, we are unable to finish the house and at the same time send our children to school. Because of the house is unfinished, we are not able to accommodate other relatives and guests. When I get my transfer from GiveDirectly, I will use portion of it to complete My family house, another portion to pay our children school fees while the remaining will be invested into small business to serve as a source of income for the family".
What is the happiest part of your day?
What made me happy in the last six months is when my daughter in law had a successful surgery during labor and gave birth to a baby.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"Our current challenge as family is lack of finance. I have been involved with farming activities as a source of income over the years. Due to me growing older in age and my wife being a woman, we are unable to make the farm that could support my entire family needs".
