What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the cash transfer to build my new house. I also spent a good amount of that money to paint the house and also paid the person who was painting my house. On top of that, I built a new kitchen since I did not have one by then.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy my husband some medication as he is suffering from asthma. I spent 1000 KES on that. The remaining amount I used to buy paint that I used to paint my house. My house is now so neat and I am just in love with it.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received the money I was so happy. It was never real to me that someone can give you such an amount without working for it until I saw the money from GiveDirectly.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to to renovate my current house by replacing the roof, I also intend to pay school fees for my three children in secondary school and lastly use the remaining amount to buy food for the family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm proudest of is being able to educate my children through primary school and three of them are currently in secondary school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm facing definitely has to be on paying school fees for my three children in secondary school, the eldest is in form four as we speak.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I'm cultivating in my farm. We grow Millet and some vegetables along the river.
